Paul Merson has shared his prediction for Manchester United’s Premier League clash with Crystal Palace tomorrow evening.

Kick-off is penned in for 5.30pm at Selhurst Park, a place that will undoubtedly haunt the Red Devils after they were humiliated 4-0 at the stadium towards the back end of last season. At the time, many thought it would’ve been Erik ten Hag’s last game in charge.

Yet, he remains in the dugout this term and will be rallying his men to make amends for their previous calamitous showing in South London by putting in a convincing shift to overturn the Eagles at the earliest opportunity.

Palace will also be without prolific frontman Michael Olise this time around, whose absence has proven detrimental to Oliver Glasner since the 2024/2025 began. They are yet to reign victorious in the top flight this campaign and enter the clash in 16th place, having overseen two draws and two losses.

As for the Reds, they have picked up two wins and two defeats, securing a 3-0 away win vs Premier League returnees Southampton last time out.

Merson’s Palace vs United prediction

“I think this will be an entertaining game,” Merson penned in his Sportskeeda column. “There will definitely be goals in this one. If Manchester United win, they can pat themselves on the back because that would be a great result. I’m going for a high-scoring draw, though.

“Manchester United will definitely have a go at the Eagles, and it will be a very open game.”

“I hope Marcus Rashford is back to his best now. He played well against Barnsley,” he continued. Rashford will either score goals or he will be absolutely terrible – there’s no in-between for him.

“I have a feeling he’ll score against Palace.”

The former Arsenal man has opted for a scoreline of 2-2.
