Vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), former President Bill Clinton and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg are among the speakers who will be featured on the third night of the Democratic National Convention.

Also in the lineup: former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Gov. Wes Moore (D-MD), Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) and Republicans including former Trump administration official Olivia Troye and Geoff Duncan, former lieutenant governor of Georgia.

Walz “will introduce himself to the American people tonight on the convention stage, highlighting the small-town values that have shaped his lifetime of service and his commitment to safeguarding the freedoms that we all hold dear,” Alex Hornbrook, executive director of the Democratic National Convention Committee, told reporters.

As they have throughout the week, Democrats also are trying to make a show of unity at the United Center in Chicago, a dramatic shift in the presidential race given the change at the top of the ticket.

“The energy is unprecedented,” Gov. Andy Beshear (D-KY) told reporters at the briefing.
