Great hope of French football, Rennais Désiré Doué seems to have chosen his next destination.
Désiré Doué should not make any old bones on the Rennes side. Promised for a bright future, the 19-year-old attacking midfielder is attracting the interest of big names from the Old Continent, like Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, who could very soon accelerate on this issue.
According to information from PSG Inside Actu, “Désiré Doué is pushing hard to come to PSG and has made Rennes leaders understand that he wants to join Paris. For the moment, there has only been a brief interview between Moussa Sissoko (the agent of Désiré Doué but also of Ousmane Dembélé, editor’s note and Paris Saint-Germain. But everything suggests that it will work out accelerate, hoping that Rennes will accept Paris’s proposal.”
Gifted, Rennes wants at least €40 million
It remains to be seen what the capital club’s proposal is. The player is valued at 30 million euros by the specialized site Transfermarkt, but for his part West France explained a few days ago that Rennes would not wait for less than 40 million euros to part with their nugget, still under contract until June 2026.
Recently, the young Rennes player made a fairly clear appeal to the French champions through an Instagram story. In a short video, Doué chose to show images of himself at the Parc des Princes, accompanied by the speech: “Desire is the key. People think that it (football) comes down to intelligence, talent, no it comes down to desire. I wanted to burn the boards. I wanted to do this. I was told it’s too early…”
