Angel Di Maria’s wife sent a tackle to the Paris Saint-Germain leaders.

Having arrived at PSG from Manchester United in the summer of 2015 for 63 million euros, Angel Di Maria left the capital club in tears seven years later. A departure that he had a hard time digesting, like his family who felt good in Paris.

In the documentary released this September on Netflix, “Angel Di Maria: Storming the Wall”, the wife of the Argentinian winger, Jorgelina Cardoso returned to her husband’s departure from PSG, deploring a lack of consideration on the part of Parisian decision-makers.

Jorgelina Cardoso: “It really pissed me off”

“Everything was perfect in Paris, we didn’t want to leave. They didn’t renew his contract. That really pissed me off because Angel was a good player. Sometimes marketing matters more to some clubs than having good players.”thus castigated Jorgelina Cardoso.

In seven seasons at Paris Saint-Germain, Angel Di Maria will have marked the hearts of Parisian supporters. But with Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappé already in their squad, the French champions decided in 2022 not to extend El Fideo’s lease, who then took the path of Juventus Turin before returning to Benfica.
