Winning and losing matters in professional wrestling as even though the results are pre-determined, it still makes a difference in the fans’ eyes when someone wins a match. It can also mean a lot when someone does not win for a good while, meaning their eventual win means quite a bit. That was the case this week and it turns out there were already some stakes on the match.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: Ouch: Update On Asuka’s Injury Status After Missing Monday Night Raw
This week on Monday Night Raw, Zoey Stark defeated Ivy Nile in the first round of the Queen Of The Ring tournament. According to Fightful Select by way of Wrestlingnews.co, this was Stark’s first televised singles win since July 2023 when she defeated Becky Lynch on Monday Night Raw. Stark is now scheduled to face Lyra Valkyria in the second round next week.

Opinion: That is a heck of a losing streak for someone who is around so frequently. Granted Stark has won other matches, including tag matches and a battle royal, but there is something about not having a singles win that hurts a lot of momentum. Thankfully she got something here, as it could have been an even longer time between singles wins, which would have been a big hit.
