Sean “Diddy” Combs is taking legal action against a man claiming to have videos of him engaging in sexual activities. The 55-year-old rapper is currently in jail as he waits for a trial in his sex trafficking case. On Wednesday (January 22), he filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit in New York targeting Courtney Burgess, his lawyer Ariel Mitchell and Nexstar Media. Keep reading to find out more… According to reporting by Variety, Diddy denies the existence of said tapes, which allegedly depicted him and other celebrities. “Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is taking a stand against the malicious falsehoods that have been fabricated and amplified by individuals seeking to profit at his expense,” Erica Wolff, the rapper’s lawyer, told the outlet. “These defendants have willfully fabricated and disseminated outrageous lies with reckless disregard for the truth. Their falsehoods have poisoned public perception and contaminated the jury pool. This complaint should serve as a warning that such intentional falsehoods, which undermine Mr. Combs’s right to a fair trial, will no longer be tolerated.” If you were unaware, Courtney has claimed that the videos were given to him by Diddy‘s ex Kim Porter. In one interview, he claimed that footage Kim gave him included Justin Bieber “kissing an unidentified male.” He insisted that the content was “definitely” authentic. Ariel has also given an interview about the videos, describing them as “pornographic” and claiming that the tapes are “leaking around Hollywood.” Courtney has also claimed that he received a copy of Kim‘s memoir, which Diddy and her children denied.
