Manchester United’s first-team vote Diogo Dalot as the Players’ Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season.
In a disappointing season, the Portuguese full-back proved to be one of the positives as far as Erik ten Hag can be concerned as he proved to be one of our most improved players on the pitch, making 49 appearances ahead of Saturday’s FA Cup final against Man City.
Not only did Dalot add more consistency to his game, but he also played several different roles and proved to be a crucial member of Ten Hag’s team.
There was uncertainty over the right-back position before this season, although now I wouldn’t bet against Dalot fulfilling the role again next season.
Dalot took to X after the winner was announced this afternoon to write:
Such an honour to be awarded as Player’s Player of the Year for this amazing club ❤️
Thank you to my teammates for making this possible! pic.twitter.com/MTH9jJEw9o

Meanwhile, Bruno Fernandes was voted the Sir Matt Busby Player of the Year, which was announced earlier today.
