The Disciplinary Committee of the Professional Football League (LFP) delivered its first verdicts of the season this Wednesday evening.
A serious case was already under consideration: that of Amadou Koné from Reims, sent off after an aerial charge on Angel Gomes from Lille, who remained on the ground unconscious for a long time.
For this dangerous gesture, the Malian midfielder received a four-match suspension – including Reims’ upcoming league matches against OM, Rennes, Nantes and Paris.
The only other player sanctioned for this first meeting of the commission, the Montpellier striker Arnaud Nordin, for an accumulation of yellow cards. The latter will be suspended for the reception of Nantes on August 31.
