Disney Confirms 13 Characters For Villains Land At Walt Disney World

Chairman of Disney Experiences Josh D’Amaro revealed over the weekend new details about the much-anticipated Villains Land at Walt Disney World. At the D23 Brazil fan event, D’Amaro presented a video preview of the attraction which promised “the most infamous and nefarious characters from the Disney universe.”

Disney officially confirmed the Orlando-based land at D23 in Anaheim in August, promising appearances from Ursula, Gaston and the Evil Queen.

The video shown in Brazil revealed 13 characters in all from Disney movies. The list includes the three above as well as the Queen of Hearts (from Alice in Wonderland); Jafar (Aladdin); Lady Tremaine (Cinderella); Yzma (The Emperor’s New Groove); Cruella de Vil (101 Dalmatians); Captain Hook (Peter Pan); Mother Gothel (Tangled); Hades (Hercules); Chernabog (Fantasia); and Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), in both human and dragon form. It also confirmed that both versions of the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs will be featured.

“In our story, a mysterious spell has been cast, summoning villains from every realm to the Magic Kingdom,” a voiceover in the video intoned. Settings will include the Wicked Queen’s lair and Maleficent’s dark forest.
