Nagarkurnool: An awareness program on diarrhea was held at the Nagar Kurnool District Collectorate’s meeting hall. The session was for doctors and supervisory officials.

Dr. Swarajyalakshmi, the District Medical and Health Officer, spoke at the event. She mentioned that many people are afraid of diarrhea, especially with changing weather, rains, and water pollution. This increases the risk of diarrhea, so health officials are doing awareness activities early.

Dr. Swarajyalakshmi explained that having more than three watery stools a day means diarrhea. She said children under five are particularly at risk. The Health Department is starting a “Stop Diarrhea” campaign from July 1 to August 31 to educate the public.

Breastfeeding Week is being observed from July 1 to 7 to highlight the importance of breastfeeding. Many activities are planned to spread awareness during this week.
