IMG Credit: WWEHe has a question. There are certain wrestlers who have become some of the biggest names in wrestling and they remain around the industry long after their in-ring careers are over. It can make a big difference when one of them makes a statement about something going on in wrestling, especially if they do not do so very often. That is what we are seeing again in a bit of a surprise.
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: They Keep Coming: NXT Stars Make Surprise Appearances On Impact Wrestling, Title Match
Back in May at AEW Double Or Nothing, Adam Copeland jumped off the top of a cage during his match with Malakai Black, breaking his leg in the process. During a recent appearance on the Outbound Life, Hulk Hogan questioned the need for the spot. Hogan said that Copeland did not need to do the spot as he is over with the fans and in the twilight of his career. Hogan instead said that something like that would usually be done by someone who is not over enough. There is no word on when Copeland is expected to be able to return to action. Hogan and Copeland are former WWE Tag Team Champions.
He might be right. Check out Copeland in AEW and the two together:
Opinion: Whether you’re a fan or not, Hogan is making sense here. Copeland is one of the biggest stars in AEW and has long since been established as a legend, but for some reason he felt the need to do something like this. Given that he probably does not have much time left in the ring in the first place, it is even worse to see some of that time being wasted on an injury which didn’t need to happen.
What do you think of Hogan’s comments? What is next for Copeland when he returns to AEW? Let us know in the comments below.
