Doja Cat Responds to Backlash Over Her Performance During James Bond Tribute at Oscars 2025

Doja Cat is sticking up for herself.

On Sunday night (March 2), the 29-year-old Grammy-winning rapper performed “Diamonds Are Forever” during the James Bond tribute at the 2025 Academy Awards.

The day after the big event, Doja took to Instagram to respond to backlash over her performance.

Keep reading to find out more… “Thanks to the Academy Awards and Vanity Fair for having me,” Doja wrote. “I never get to sing like that and what I did was brave and scary as f–k for me. I know a lot of people didn’t like it but a lot of people did and I feel good that I pushed myself.”

She continued, “The song is a classic and I put a lot of work into it but the nerves got to me and a b-tch hit some flats. I can’t wait to do something like that again. What a blessing that was. I feel amazing about the whole thing. Bye. 🙏💓”

After sharing her message, several famous friends took to the comments section to praise Doja‘s performance.

“ATE WON QUEEN HALLELUJAH,” Ashley Graham wrote, while Raye added, “i’m very proud of you 🥹”
