Dominik Mysterio wants to push boundaries when WWE moves to Netflix, but wants it to be meaningful.
WWE announced this year that they will be moving Raw to Netflix in 2025. They signed a $5 billion deal with the streaming giants, ushering in a new era of broadcasting for the wrestling promotion.
Triple H has previously said that the company will not face any censorship issues on the new platform. This is something Dominik Mysterio is looking forward to, however, he doesn’t want the WWE to go overboard with it.
Dominik Mysterio spoke with Logan Paul on the Impaulsive Podcast, where he was asked about WWE’s impending move to Netflix next year. He said he was curious to see the changes, although doesn’t want to go overboard with the “blood and tables”.
Furthermore, he added that the non-PG elements have to be unexpected. Finally, he compared them to Randy Orton’s RKO, saying they should be “out of nowhere”.
“I’m curious to see how things are going to change, what boundaries we can push with it, for sure. I think people are going to expect us to go in there. First episode of Raw on Netflix, I think people are gonna expect you know freaking blood and tables everywhere, titties. Like Edge and Lita where they had the live sex show.
“I’m sure people are going to expect things like that. But I feel like in order for stuff like that to be special and meaningful, you can’t have it all the time. It’s gotta come like an RKO out of nowhere. It’s like you don’t expect it, and then it’s like, boom! Titty!”
Dominik Mysterio Asked Logan Paul If He Is Banned From Japan
Dominik Mysterio continued, and then, in the same podcast, he went on to question whether or not Logan Paul was banned from Japan.
In 2017, the former United States Champion filmed a dead body in the Aokigahara forest, commonly known as the “suicide forest”. Posting the video on his YouTube vlog sparked huge controversy, although he eventually recovered.
In the same podcast episode, Dominik Mysterio asked Logan Paul if he was banned from Japan due to the incident. However, Logan Paul denied the claim, stating that he was simply waiting to be invited back.
“Bro, Dom! What do you think? Yes I can go to Japan. I can go to Japan! I’m not excommunicado. I’ve never said this before, but my rule was if I went back, I’d like to be invited back. I just haven’t gotten the invite yet. Probably my best bet is the WWE.”
“I love Japan, I actually love Japan. Tokyo is like a giant arcade game. It is the cleanest, one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and my favorite city in the world. And I f*ck it all up, and I hate that.”
