Dominik Mysterio has set a goal to win a singles title in the WWE in the near future.
He has already won the NXT North American Championship and is a former tag team champion, alongside his estranged father Rey Mysterio. However, Dominik Mysterio is targeting a singles title on the main roster, although he is unsure if WWE has that in their plans for him.
Dominik Mysterio recently appeared on Busted Open Radio. The WWE star admitted that he has different goals for himself than the WWE, but vowed to force them to change their plans to align with his.
When pressed, he noted that becoming a singles champion in WWE is something he aspired to. However, he does not know if that is something planned for the near future.
Dominik Mysterio On His Future Plans
“I never thought I’d be at this point in my career—going into my fifth year with the company. I debuted in 2020, even though I’m a 20-year veteran of the game. Technically, I debuted in 2005. It’s been a crazy ride, but I’m happy to be a part of it. Everything happens so fast.”
“Being in the business for so long, running around the ring and being around it, I’ve developed these little habits just from watching everybody. I do have goals that I don’t think WWE necessarily has for me. At the end of the day, I’m going to make them align with my goals, one way or another. I don’t even necessarily know, because it’s a machine, right? These guys are constantly moving so fast that they don’t always tell you what’s going on or what they have planned for you.”
“For me, I want to win singles gold. I don’t necessarily know if they have that in mind for me—especially with all this stuff going on with Liv Morgan, JD McDonagh, Carlito, and Finn Balor. Honestly, I don’t know where their minds are. But one way or another, our plans are going to align because they won’t have a choice but to put a title on me.”
