Dominik Mysterio has his sights set on the gold.
Speaking on Card Subject to Change (via ESPN Dayton), Dominik Mysterio was asked to comment on which world title he would want to challenge for. He highlighted how his Judgment Day stablemate Damian Priest is building the legacy of the World Heavyweight Championship. He also expressed his interest in chasing Cody Rhodes’ Undisputed WWE Championship.
“I mean, there’s definitely an appeal [to the Undisputed WWE Championship],” Dominik Mysterio sais. “I think there’s history, there’s rich history between both of those titles, especially now, with the legacy that Cody’s building on SmackDown for the Undisputed Title and the legacy that’s being built currently for the World Heavyweight Championship. That started, and now Damian [Priest] is carrying it.
“So I don’t know, man. I think it’s pretty special because my deadbeat [dad] ended up holding the world title one time, actually two times, and then he ended up winning the WWE Title just once, for I believe it was maybe thirty minutes, and then Cena came back and took it. So I would definitely, I think for right now, I would love to beat his thirty-minute record of WWE Champion. So I think the Undisputed WWE Title that Cody currently has Mysterio history written all over it.”
Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan recently defeated Rey Mysterio and Zelina Vega on the July 8 episode of WWE RAW.
