Donald Trump Agrees to Debate Kamala Harris After She Secures Democratic Presidential Nomination

Former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris will be going head-to-head next month.

On Friday night (August 2), Trump, 78, announced that he agreed to Fox News’ proposal for a debate against Harris, 59, hours after she received the support necessary to secure the Democratic nomination for the 2024 Presidential Election.

The debate will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4 in Pennsylvania, although a specific location has yet to be determined.

Trump also noted that he has a lawsuit against ABC and their commentator George Stephanopoulos.

“I have agreed with FoxNews to debate Kamala Harris on Wednesday, September 4th,” Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social. “The Debate was previously scheduled against Sleepy Joe Biden on ABC, but has been terminated in that Biden will no longer be a participant, and I am in litigation against ABC Network and George Slopadopoulos, thereby creating a conflict of interest.”

The upcoming debate will be moderated by Fox News anchors Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum and will have similar rules to Trump‘s debate against Biden back on June 27. However this time, the debate will have a “full arena audience.”

Fox News first invited Trump and Harris to participate in a debate in Pennsylvania on Sept. 17, and while Harris said she was “ready” to face off with Trump, he originally refused.
