Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai, 17, to attend University of Miami, commits to golf team: ‘Beyond excited’

Donald Trump’s granddaughter Kai gave a major life update over the weekend.

The “beyond excited” 17-year-old told her Instagram followers on Sunday that she has given “verbal commitment to the University of Miami” and will play for the school’s golf team.

She included a shoutout to the former president in her lengthy caption.

“I would like to thank my Grandpa for giving me access to great courses and tremendous support,” Kai wrote.

She also shared her gratitude for dad Donald Trump Jr. and mom Vanessa Trump, who finalized their divorce in 2019, for “always supporting” her athletic journey.

“I would also like to thank my Mormor for always believing in me,” Kai continued. “I would also like to thank my entire family for always encouraging and pushing me to be the best person I can possibly be. I would like to thank my friends for always cheering me on.”

She concluded, “Last but not least I would love to thank Coach Janice and Coach Jim for giving me this opportunity. I am super excited to be a cane and represent the University of Miami. Gooo Canes! 🧡💚 “

Kai wore a green Miami cap in the photos with her parents, as well as a white tank, denim shorts and a Louis Vuitton belt.

Vanessa, 46, reposted Kai’s announcement to her Instagram Story, gushing, “So proud of my daughter Kai.”

The teen is the former couple’s eldest child, with Vanessa and Donald Jr. also sharing Donald III, 15, Tristan, 12, Spencer, 11, and Chloe, 10.

Last month, Kai spoke about her love of golf while making a speech at the Republican National Convention.

“If I’m not on his team, he’ll try to get inside of my head,” she said of competing against her grandpa. “He’s always surprised that I don’t let him get to me, but I have to remind him that I’m a Trump too.”

Kai’s dad reacted to her allegedly “being swarmed” by teen boys after the speech in a Fox News interview.

“Get away, you little bastards! You stay away!” Donald Jr. said at the time before confessing that he might come to “regret” allowing her to do the address.

However, he explained, “She needed to do that for her grandpa.”
