Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election and is set to become the 47th president of the United States.

The 78-year-old – who defeated Hillary Clinton in 2016 – defeated Vice President Kamala Harris.

Although Trump lost the presidential race in 2020 to President Joe Biden, he will return to the White House in 2025.

Trump took to X (formerly Twitter) – a social platform that previously banned him – on the morning of election day and encouraged his followers to vote for him.

“Your vote will lead us to Greatness. Your vote will unleash a new GOLDEN AGE! Your vote will MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN! GREATER THAN EVER BEFORE! VOTE TRUMP!” he penned.

He also encouraged his followers to “stay online” and to not “get offline” ahead of the polls closing.
