WWE’s Michael Cole was recently interviewed by WFAN (New York City radio station) and revealed that he was watching the New York Mets vs. Philadelphia Phillies playoff game during his call of WWE Bad Blood. Cole said that he had the game on his phone during the show and was celebrating when the Mets did well, earning him several looks from broadcast partner Corey Graves. The Mets went on to win the game 6-2 and advanced to the National League Championship Series.
You wouldn’t have noticed. Check out some of Cole’s work during the show:
Opinion: I love little things like this as you wouldn’t have noticed without being told. Cole was able to go out there and do his job while also keeping an eye on something else, which is more than a lot of broadcasters would be able to do. While a lot of people do not like what he does, Cole is still one of the most polished and certainly longest tenured broadcasters in wrestling history. That deserves some praise and he made it work here.
