That’s a special one. WWE has been doing rather well in recent months, with several records being set throughout the company. This has included a variety of biggest crowds and gates ever, which WWE has certainly bragged about when they get the chance. That is what they are doing again, as the company went international and did something they have never done before.

This week’s edition of SmackDown took place in Lyon, France, marking the first time the show has been held in the country. WWE CCO Triple H has announced that the show is the highest grossing SmackDown in the show’s history, breaking a record set just four weeks ago with the pre-WrestleMania 40 SmackDown in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In addition, Triple H revealed that the fans in the arena received a warning over the amount of noise in the building, saying being exposed to such loud noise could cause temporary hearing loss.

Tonight’s event in Lyon, France is officially the highest-grossing #SmackDown of all time, breaking a record set just 4 weeks ago in Philly ahead of #WrestleMania XL.

The @WWEUniverse in France literally received a warning about the noise level tonight at #SmackDown @LDLC_Arena. Absolutely insane.

Like @myMotorhead said… “Only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud.” pic.twitter.com/i4KMGnfUtY

It was a busy night. Check out what happened on the show:

Opinion: The fact that the show broke a record that had lasted all of a month is impressive enough, but the fact that the fans were going so nuts that they had to receive a warning for their own health is even more impressive. It’s hard to imagine the fans being that into a show but the fans in France managed to pull it off. That is rather amazing and they made it happen, which has me wondering just how hot Backlash is going to be.

What do you think of the record? What is the hottest crowd you have ever seen? Let us know in the comments below.
