Drake allegedly sent cease and desist to block Kendrick Lamar from performing ‘Not Like Us’ at Super Bowl

You better have some paperwork or that s–t fake tea.

Rumors have been running rampant that Drake sent a cease and desist letter to Kendrick Lamar to block him from performing his No. 1 diss song, “Not Like Us,” during the Super Bowl LIX halftime show.

The gossip began over the weekend when Wack 100, manager to West Coast rappers Blueface and The Game, made the claim during an interview.

“He’s trying to get the NFL to restrict Kendrick,” the 46-year-old alleged in a clip shared by Livebitez.

When asked if he thinks the alleged restriction will “hold,” Wack — born Cash Jones — replied, “No, if Jay-Z got something to do with it, it ain’t.”

However, a music insider exclusively tells Page Six that the rumors of a cease and desist are “getting out of hand.”

“There was never any intention or plan to send a cease and desist to anyone,” the insider explained.

Reps for Drake and Lamar did not immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

The rap beef between Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, and Lamar, 37, kicked off in March when the “Loyalty” rapper was featured on Future and Metro Boomin’s hit “Like That.”

In the song, he rapped, “Motherf–k the big three, n–a, it’s just big me,” referring to the “Hotline Bling” emcee and J. Cole.

Later that month, the Toronto native seemingly responded during his It’s All a Blur – Big as the What Tour stop in Florida, saying that he knows that “no matter what, there’s not a n–a on this earth that could ever f–k with me in my life.”

In April, Drake, 37, then released his song “Push Ups,” in which he mocked Lamar’s height and his record deal with Top Dawg Entertainment.

Five days later, the “Degrassi” alum released another diss track aimed at Lamar titled “Taylor Made Freestyle.”

On that song, Drake rapped using AI voices of Lamar’s inspirations, Snoop Dogg and Tupac Shakur, to talk down on Lamar for his silence amid their beef.

The song was later removed online after Shakur’s estate sent a cease and desist letter to Drake for using the late rapper’s voice as a “blatant abuse” of his legacy.

In April and May, Lamar struck back with “Euphoria” and “6:16 in LA,” respectively. The Compton native slammed Drake for using the N-word, acting tough and claimed he had a mole in his circle.

After both rappers released several more disses, their feud seemingly came to a head when Lamar dropped “Not Like Us.”

On the song, the “Bad Blood” emcee accused Drake of liking underage girls.

“Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young / You better not ever go to cell block one / To any bitch that talk to him and they in love / Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him,” he rapped on the track.

The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has remained on the Top 10 of the chart since its release.

The “God’s Plan” rapper denied liking underage girls in “The Heart Pt 6,” rapping, “Just for clarity, I feel disgusted, I’m too respected / If I was f–king young girls, I promise I’d have been arrested / I’m way too famous for this s–t you just suggested.”

Amid the success of “Not Like Us,” Lamar was announced as the Super Bowl LIX halftime show performer.

The big game will be hosted at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on Feb. 9, 2025.
