On the Road To WrestleMania 40, there have been several wrestlers who have suffered multiple injuries. Some of those injuries have resulted in people’s WrestleMania dreams being put to a halt. One of those people falling under that list is CM Punk. The person who put the self-proclaimed Best in the World on the injured list was Drew McIntyre.

Ever since then, the Scottish Warrior has been poking fun at Punk with jokes about a torn tricep. McIntyre even had a T-shirt made making fun at the Second City Saint. McIntyre’s trolling continued even post the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

At the Elimination Chamber PLE, McIntyre was one of the six wrestlers competing in the Number One Contender’s match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. During the match, Drew McIntyre attempted to hit CM Punk’s signature move, the Go To Sleep (GTS). The Scottish Warrior took to Twitter to post a picture of him using the move but he renamed it. McIntyre called it GTM: Go To Mania.

“The GTM Go To Mania,” Drew McIntyre tweeted.

McIntyre won the Chamber match and he will be facing Seth Rollins for the World Title at WrestleMania 40.

Drew McIntyre vows to finish his story

During the most recent episode of WWE’s The Bump, McIntyre was a special guest. He celebrated his Elimination Chamber victory. He revealed that he burst his ear drum during the match but still, he will compete at WrestleMania to finally be able to capture the World Title in an arena filled with fans.

“I can barely hear the words after getting hit in the ear so hard,” Drew McIntyre said. “It’s fine. I said I would do whatever it takes, not just for me but for everybody else. And every Superplex, every dive off the cage, every powerbomb in the back of my neck was worth it. I said I’d go through any obstacle.

“Push Cody to finish his story, that’s what the fans wanted. Push Seth to stop being selfish. Some people are like, it’s just so you can get Seth at WrestleMania. Yeah, I just had to beat AJ Styles and I just had to put myself through hell while jet lagged, while this eardrum appears to be burst. Worth it. I did it for each and every one of you. We’re so close, so close. WrestleMania, we finish our own story and I finally get my moment.” [H/T Fightful.com]

On his road to WrestleMania, The Scottish Warrior will be having an opportunity to get his revenge on his past rivals. Next week he will be going head-to-head against ‘Main Event’ Jey Uso.
