Drew McIntyre comments on Damian Priest’s part on his road to WrestleMania.
Drew McIntyre will challenge Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. Priest has cost McIntyre matches in the past due to his foiled attempts to cash in his Money in the Bank contract.
In an interview with Evan Mack, Drew McIntyre was asked whether Damian Priest and his Money in the Bank briefcase were on his mind heading into WWE WrestleMania 40.
“Yeah, he’s on my mind,” Drew McIntyre said. “I need to stop giving him the answers because he may actually listen, unlike Seth. I keep giving him the answers to the test, but he keeps failing. But with Priest, in the last match, he decided to cash in halfway through me and Seth, and I was so angry because I had Claymore’ed him on the floor, which hurts me just as much as it hurts my opponent, kicking them in the face and I’m lying my own back on the floor.
“It ended up costing me the match, and afterwards, I was like, why would you cash in during the match, you idiot? Why didn’t you wait until after the match? Maybe I need to stop telling this guy, ‘This one you should cash in, buddy.’ Cause it makes the most sense. In case he goes, ‘Oh, Drew’s right. I’m not Seth Rollins. I can actually take advice.’ So yeah, I’ll keep one eye on Priest at all times.”
