Drew McIntyre: Seth Rollins Did A Great Job, But I’ll Help The World Title Reach Its Potential

Drew McIntyre is ready to take the World Heavyweight Championship on a journey.

The Scottish Warrior is on a mission to take the WWE World Heavyweight title away from Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 40. He recently appeared on The Masked Man Show and was asked about his goals of adding to the world title’s legacy while also wanting to win a world title in front of a crowd.

“I think they kind of go hand in hand with each other,” McIntyre said. “You get the moment by winning the title and then the responsibility is to lift up the title. And I don’t hate Seth Rollins, he’s not CM Punk. I just don’t like the way he goes about things, and his selfish attitude, and he doesn’t see it. He thinks he’s a leader, but he’s absolutely not.

“He’s about himself. You know, a true leader is about the rosters, about democracy. And how can you, you know, lead the roster, lead the locker room if you’re never in it and you’re on your tour bus all the time, you don’t have your finger on the pulse. So for me, he’s done a great job, a phenomenal job. I don’t know if anybody could have made the title into what it is besides, you know, somebody as talented as him.”

McIntyre made the analogy that Rollins raised the title, took it to college, and now it’s time for it to leave the small town to go out into the “big, bad world.”

“It’s got to become who it’s going to be and reach its potential,” McIntyre added. “And I’m the one that he needs to come to, to help it reach its potential. And I will finally have that world title I can take around, I can defend. It will be everywhere with me. It will join me on social, it’ll be hating on people on Twitter as well.

“It’s going to have a hell of a journey by my side. And you know, people can say whatever, ‘He’s the troll champion,’ whatever. But I’m not your average troll. I’m not behind the keyboard. I talk my crap. I talk my crap at the keyboard, then I get up. Then I beat you down if I want to. And if I wasn’t married, I would take your girl too.”
