The Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre is set to challenge Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40. The last time McIntyre challenged a World Champion at WrestleMania, he picked up the win. But it was in an empty arena. This time around he has the opportunity to finally lift the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in front of a live crowd.

While speaking to CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri, the Scottish Warrior shared how much it would mean to finally be able to lift the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in front of a live crowd.

“A lot. That’s a moment I missed but a moment I’ve accepted. Because of the times we were living in. How important it was to be the champion for everybody else, it wasn’t really for me. Neither was the second one. But this one will be a moment kind of for me… You know there’ll be family there so, hopefully, I don’t freaking lose. And it’ll be for them and their sacrifice. It’ll be for the fans that have stuck by me this whole time. And it will be for CM Punk, the man made of glass.

“So I’m pretty excited about the possibility and it will be a very very special moment. And just to see how we got here, it’s just… That’s professional wrestling. You just never know what’s going to happen. Who’s going to catch fire? What story is going to catch on? Who’s going to get hurt? Everything happens for a reason, then you get to your destination eventually, as long as you can control what you can control,” Drew McIntyre said.

Do you think McIntyre will be able to dethrone Seth Rollins at WrestleMania?
