The Scottish Warrior is probably going into his biggest match so far on the road to WrestleMania 40, as he is set to battle The American Nightmare Cody Rhodes next week on RAW.

The match was officially announced in a backstage segment on this week’s edition of RAW when McIntyre was being interviewed. He claimed that his persuasion was the reason Rhodes decided to choose Roman Reigns and go one step further in finishing the story.

Moreover, the former WWE champion even stated that he did all for the fans, who blamed him for redirecting Rhodes towards Reigns for his own selfish motives of headlining WrestleMania 40 in a match for the World Heavyweight title.

McIntyre ended the interview by issuing a big warning to the American Nightmare. One was to never come in his prayers, as he claimed that they come true as seen in the case of Drew’s recent foe, CM Punk.

The other thing Drew McIntyre stated was for Cody to reconsider the decision to face him on RAW next week as he may not make it to WrestleMania following the encounter and leave the fans disappointed.

Drew McIntyre has already qualified for the Men’s Elimination Chamber match this past week on SmackDown, set to take place in Perth, Australia in two weeks. So a high-caliber match with the 2024 Royal Rumble match winner could be exactly what he needs to boost his momentum on the road to WrestleMania.
