Mexican singer Dulce La Cantante has sadly passed away at the age of 69. The singer’s passing was confirmed on Christmas Day. Back on December 2, Dulce took to Instagram to update fans on her health and reveal that she had to postpone concert dates after being hospitalized. Dulce underwent “pleuropulmonary decortication surgery” on December 5. It was reported at the time that everything went well and she’d be released days later. Sadly, things must have taken a turn in her recovery. Keep reading to find out more… Dulce‘s family announced on Christmas Day, “With deep pain and sadness, we confirm the death of our dear Dulce, an exceptional artist and wonderful person who left an unforgettable memory in the hearts of everyone she knew. In this time of great pain and loss, we respectfully ask all media and public opinion to give us space and understanding so that the family can grieve in privacy and peace.” Dulce most recently appeared in season two of the Netflix reality series Siempre Reinas.
