This past weekend at MagicCon: Chicago, Dungeons & Dragons fans got their first look artwork for Dragon Delves, a new book arriving this summer. A new book full of, well… dragons. Also, dungeons! It’s a back-to-basics approach, for sure, but also one that should excite longtime fans of the series.

According to a press release, Dragon Delves “is unlike any other book released in the 50-year history of D&D, providing fans with 10 short adventures centered around each of the 10 iconic chromatic and metallic dragons within the game. Each of the adventures have been designed to be easy to pick up and play—and showcase how easy your prep can be as a Dungeon Master. Plus, the book includes a visual history of dragons in D&D over the past 50 years!” It releases July 8, and you can check out some of the artwork below.

MagicCon also shared art for D&D‘s upcoming Magic: The Gathering crossover, this time with a setting that takes players “to the idyllic Lorwyn, and its dark reflection, Shadowmoor.” Here’s concept art from Jesper Ejsing, building on his past work bringing Lorwyn to life.
