Dustin Rhodes will face AEW World Champion Samoa Joe on the April 10 episode of AEW Dynamite. With a win, he will earn a world title shot.
Speaking with Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, Dustin Rhodes shared his thoughts ahead of the match.
I’m going to go out there and earn it,” Dustin Rhodes said. “Joe’s a big, tough SOB, but I can’t wait to lock horns. I’ve been knocked down too many times to remember, but I’ve gotten back up every single time. I’m one tough SOB, too, and I’m going to fight with every ounce of energy in my body.”
Rhodes also discussed the promo in which he challenged Joe to a title shot. He made it clear that is dream is to be a world champion, and he’s chasing it.
“I was very proud of that promo,” Dustin Rhodes said. “The ultimate dream is to become world heavyweight champion. Time is slipping, but that is still what I’m chasing. I’m still dreaming about it, too, still working toward it.
