The Rock’s fame and popularity transcend various sports and entertainment fields across the globe. The Great One was officially announced as a part of a football Hall of Fame months ago and took his place in that prestigious hall recently.

The Great One was announced as an inductee of the 2024 Polynesian Football Hall of Fame alongside Domata Peko and Reno Mahe in November 2023. He was officially inducted into the class this past Saturday. The Miami Hurricanes took to their official X to announce the news. Furthermore, the 10-time WWE champion retweeted it with his response.

“Thank you Fam.”

“Life’s road is long, wild and unpredictable.”

“Core values & relentless work ethic principles I learned at @CanesFootball. Honored and grateful to be inducted in the @PolynesianFBHOF.”

The Rock played football during his time at the University of Miami and was a part of The Hurricanes’ 1991 National Championship team. He went on to earn major recognition as a professional wrestler and then gained immense success in the world of Hollywood.

He returned to his football roots with the relaunch of XFL alongside his ex-wife and business partner in 2020. The duo relaunched the season in 2023 and have been actively a part of promoting the next generation of talent in football.

The People’s champion made his return to WWE on the Day 1 edition of Monday Night RAW recently. He dropped a major tease about potentially battling his iconic cousin, The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns for the Undisputed title at the show. Furthermore, there have been major speculations of this mega showdown taking place at WrestleMania 40.

However, some other reports suggested that it will be Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes at the Grandest Stage of them all once again. So it will be interesting to see what unfolds as the road to WrestleMania 40 unfolds in less than a week.
