Hot Ones host Sean Evans revealed that he’s been trying to get Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson on the fan fave series, and it almost happened with one big exception. If you don’t know, Hot Ones features celebrity guests eating chicken wings with various hot sauces doused on top. The sauces range from mild to incredibly spicy, and the stars often have visceral reactions to the hotter wings. In order for The Rock to appear, he had one request. Keep reading to find out more… The Rock asked if they could used grilled salmon strips instead of chicken wings if he were to film the segment. Sean told Bloomberg, “We’ve been pitching [The Rock] obviously for years and one time I got a note back that was like, ‘would you be willing to do, instead of wings, grilled salmon strips?’ And in my head I was like, that had to come from his mouth … that’s as close as we’ve gotten. And then it fell through.” The Rock didn’t specify why he wanted salmon vs. chicken wings. Unfortunately, he still hasn’t appeared on the show…but maybe one day!
