Farewell. There are multiple ways for a wrestler to walk away from the ring for good, with some of them being planned in advance. These are the kinds of retirements which can be built up long in advance. That can make for a special moment, and we might be in for another one of those next year when a wrestler wraps up their legendary in-ring career with one last match.

Meiko Satomura has announced that she will wrestle her retirement match on April 29, 2025 for her Sendai Girls promotion in Japan. This will be shortly after the thirtieth anniversary o her first ever match, which took place on April 15, 1995. There are no further details about the match, including Satomura’s opponent. Satomura returned to Japan earlier this year after a stint as a wrestler and trainer for WWE.

Satumura is a legend. Check out her time in WWE:

Opinion: This is something that you do not get to see very often and it is going to be a special moment when Satomura gets to wrap up her career on her own terms. That is not something that everyone gets to do and hopefully everything goes as well as Satomura has earned it. The match itself should be good, but it is going to be the moment itself that matters the most here.

What do you think of the idea? Who should Satomura face in her retirement match? Let us know in the comments below.
