The Eddie Howe Fulham Press Conference has taken place.

The Newcastle United Head Coach speaking to the media ahead of Saturday’s match at Craven Cottage.

United hoping to move to with one point of sixth placed Man U, who are home to Liverpool on Sunday.

The Eddie Howe Fulham Press Conference highlights:

Eddie Howe on the run-in:

“I see a lot of teams searching for consistency and searching for a run of victories that will catapult them to where they want to be and we’re one of those teams.

“Everyone is finding that consistency hard to find so it’s up to us to grab that.”

Eddie Howe on Alex Isak:

“When you’ve got any of your attacking players in the form he’s in I think it transforms through the team.

“He’s in a really good place and it’s great to see him in the type of form he is in.

“He deserves a lot of credit for how he’s played this year.

“He’s an exceptional talent and I hope he can get even better from this point – I think there’s more to come from him.”

Eddie Howe on Dan Burn:

“I liked a lot about his performance against Everton. I thought he was very, very good.

“He’s a big presence in our back line anyway but I thought he did really well aerially against two tough opponents.

“On the floor, having played full-back for a long period of time, when you come inside the spaces are a bit more condensed so I thought he excelled in that area.”

Eddie Howe on Tino Livramento:

“Tino’s was quite strange really as the ball’s just hit his ankle as he’s gone to plant it on the floor and he’s twisted it to an uncomfortable angle but thankfully it’s not as serious as it could have been.”

Eddie Howe on Miguel Almiron:

“Miggy on crossing the ball got his studs caught in the turf and just tweaked his knee slightly.

“Again, not a serious injury but enough to keep him out for a few weeks.”

Eddie Howe on Lewis Hall:

“We hope he’s fine and that he’ll be back training.

“We anticipate he’ll be part of the group [for tomorrow].”

Eddie Howe on Jamaal Lascelles:

“A big blow for us and for Jamaal. He’s been excellent this season.

“Behind the scenes he’s been a key part of our leadership team.

“Initially for a player it’s difficult to accept that you’re faced with a long period of rehabilitation. He’s had his operation and that was successful so he’s already on the road to recovery.”
