Eddie Howe so impressive, as is always the case.
Managers get credibility by speaking the truth, whatever the result and whether bid decisions go for, or against you.
This is where the likes of Eddie Howe scores so highly, just like Kevin Keegan and Sir Bobby Robson before him at Newcastle United.
After the 1-1 draw at his old club Bournemouth, Eddie Howe telling it like it is, including when it came to two much talked about incidents when the decisions were favourable to Newcastle United.
Eddie Howe reflects on Bournemouth 1 Newcastle 1:
“I think a draw was fair but Bournemouth may have a different perspective.
“They did cause us problems with their quick attacks and while I think we had more chances to score more than the one, I think they would probably argue the same.
“With that, I think a draw was fair.
“In the second half we were a threat from set-plays and crosses and we are frustrated that we haven’t scored more than one.
“I thought the game was lost because I initially hadn’t seen anything wrong with the [Bournemouth] ‘goal’ [in added time].
“We have had it both ways.
“We have had it for us and against us and we are very grateful for that moment because we have battled hard.
“What we had at that stage of the game was a valuable point but I understand that it is a contentious decision.
“It was probably as bit reckless from Joelinton [when booked for grabbing the keeper around the shoulder/neck to stop him putting Bournemouth on the break].
“You could see what he is trying to do.
“He is trying to stop the keeper.
“But you can’t go near the head area.
“That is something we will talk to him about.”
