AEW star Eddie Kingston provides an update on his recovery.

Kingston tore his ACL and meniscus in his match against Gabe Kidd at NJPW Resurgence on May 11. He was advised to wait to get surgery, and he eventually had the procedure in July. He was expected to be out for up to ten months.

Speaking on The DAVINci Report, Eddie Kingston discussed his recovery and noted that it was starting to get itchy. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the transcription)

“Just healing up from a fracture of my tibia, strain on my meniscus, and I had to get my ACL replaced,” Eddie Kingston said. “A lot of fun. It’s been a process. It’s going good, until my insurance acts up, and that’s when I get annoyed. Insurance is a fraud, folks. Just throwing that out there.

“I’m starting to get itchy at home. I can walk now, a little bit. I can walk, I can lift weigts, I can do squats a little bit, not too low. Now it’s at the point of, ‘Let’s hurry this up. Let’s get going.'”

During the interview, Eddie Kingston also expressed his hope that he would be back by April or May 2025.

WrestleZone wishes Kingston well in his recovery, and we will provide more information as it becomes available.
