The failures on penalties during Euro 2021 and in the 2022 World Cup final did not leave National Technical Director (DTN) Hubert Fournier indifferent. The latter launched a process aimed at improving the qualities of the French on penalties, attracting the wrath of the coach of the France team Didier Deschamps. The latter gave a layer on the subject at the Téléfoot microphone.

“I am convinced that it is impossible to recreate the situations that the players have at the end of the match, after overtime, both on a psychological level and in the physical state in which they are”, wanted to first recall the French coach. He then once again charged the DTN speech. “I am not against the process, then there is the form, inappropriate and even disrespectful.”
