Present in Didier Deschamps’ list for his return to the Blues, Wesley Fofana will finally have to stay at Chelsea during the international break. After a discussion with the coach, the 23-year-old defender decided to stay in London to work on his physical concerns as announced by the FFF this Sunday and was replaced by Loïc Badé, Olympic vice-champion this summer. In a press conference, Didier Deschamps explained his choice to have called up the Sevilla defender.
“And why not (Loïc) Badé? You don’t like him? Benjamin (Pavard), I didn’t take him at first. I didn’t find it very coherent (to recall him), but that doesn’t change the position that I gave you on this first list. There are some who are there, there may be others on the next gatherings. I consider that it is the moment to discover a certain number of players.”explained the coach of the Blues at a press conference.
