The French team was eliminated from the Euro on Tuesday evening, quite logically, losing to Spain (2-1). A big disappointment for the supporters but also the players who were probably hoping to reach the final and lift the Cup at the end. This Friday evening, TF1 broadcast a documentary on the behind the scenes of the Euro of the Blues and we were able to see Didier Deschamps’ speech to his players after the defeat.

“Guys, it’s obviously sad. And disappointing, it’s normal compared to everything we’ve done up until now. But we have to be realistic too. They did things much better than us. In terms of control, maybe we had less juice. Even if we pushed until the end, I will never blame you for that, the step was a little higher today obviously. We had other things in mind. Above all, stay united. We have to accept it, as I say every time.”he said, obviously disappointed by the result.
