Skirt, cowboy boots, and now even balaclavas, with Ibrahima Konaté who set foot where no one had yet dared to do so in the Blues last month. It has become a subject of discussion: the arrivals of players from the French team at Clairefontaine are now akin to fashion shows, which may amuse some, others less. In October, Jules Koundé, for example, responded to Jérôme Rothen and Jean-Michel Larqué, the first having compared the arrival of the Blues to a “circus”, while the second spoke of “disguise”.

In the talk show co-hosted by Aurélien Tchouaméni, The Bridge (available in the coming hours on YouTube), the Barcelona defender spoke again on the subject alongside Ousmane Dembélé. If the Parisian winger, rather a fan of sober and all-purpose tones, was not too talkative, Koundé responded to his detractors: “I know that people are impatiently waiting to see how I will arrive, with what style, being eccentric or not… If the words of people and journalists have touched us? It no longer affects us, I think there are ways of doing things and often in the media, it is done in a disrespectful way. I think everyone comes as they feel, it’s just a lack of open-mindedness for me, and from time to time, it’s good to respond to make your point of view heard.”
