Since being forced to step down as president of the FFF, Noël Le Graët has seen two huge changes take place in the French team. Kylian Mbappé was named captain, after the retirement of Hugo Lloris, and Antoine Griezmann decided to end his international career between two Nations League gatherings. Two events that the former boss of the FFF commented on.

I found it to be normal (the decision to appoint Mbappé captain, editor’s note). Griezmann, who I adore, could also have been. I regret that the latter left like that, between two sequences. He should have played a match where everyone would have paid tribute to him. He’s a great player and a great man», he declared in the columns of West France.
