Logically present in the list of 25 players selected by Didier Deschamps for the Euro, Olivier Giroud discovered yesterday the return of a former teammate in Blue: N’Golo Kanté. The AC Milan striker and the Al-Ittihad midfielder, who played together at club level when they were at Chelsea, will therefore meet again, to the great pleasure of Olivier Giroud.

“I’m delighted to have my good friend back. It’s great for him, “NG” is a ray of sunshine. We spent several years together with the Blues. We were also partners at Chelsea (between January 2018 and June 2021) with other titles to be won (Cup, Europa League and Champions League)”he declared in the columns of Parisian. Olivier Giroud and N’Golo Kanté are among the rare survivors who won the 2018 World Cup. Aside from these two players, only Alphonse Areola, Benjamin Pavard, Antoine Griezmann, Kylian Mbappé and Ousmane Dembélé remain.
