Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has congratulated All Progressives Congress Senator Monday Okpebholo on his victory in the Edo State governorship election.

Okpebholo, who garnered 291,667 votes, was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

According to the Ogun State governor, the victory reflects the will of the Edo people.

“We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo.

“His victory signifies a pivotal change, one that is poised to bring about unparalleled growth and development across Edo State,” Abiodun said in a Facebook post on Sunday.

He also lauded the victory as a significant and well-deserved shift that promises to usher in a new era of pragmatic and progressive development for Edo State.

According to the governor, the outcome of the election is expected to bring about socio-economic advancements that will benefit all residents of the state.

Abiodun expressed confidence in the governor-elect’s ability to deliver on his promises to the people of Edo.

“We wish you every success as you take on the responsibility of leading your people towards a brighter and more prosperous future,” Abiodun added.
