Like Nigeria, Egypt was content with a draw for its entry into the African Cup of Nations.

Against Mozambique, the Pharaohs were surprised twice, in quick succession, by Witi (55e) and Bauque (58e). This while Mohamed opened the scoring from the 2e minute.

Unable to react for a long time, Egypt finally snatched the points in added time, thanks to a penalty converted by Salah (90e+7).

The five-time African champions will have to react in four days against Ghana, in a group also completed by Cape Verde.
