Mohamed Salah to score anytime - (was 7/5) NOW 31/20 - CLAIM HERE Mohamed Salah to score and both teams to score - (was 16/5) NOW 7/2 - CLAIM HERE Mohamed Salah to score 2+ goals (was 222/25) NOW 11/1 - CLAIM HEREBoth teams went into their opening match of the tournament on Sunday as strong favourites for victory but surprisingly both dropped valuable points.
Egypt, who head into this edition of the tournament as the beaten finalists two years ago, and needed a 97th minute Mohamed Salah penalty to rescue 2-2 draw to earn a point against a Mozambique side who have never won a match at any AFCON before.
Managed by former Benfica boss Rui Vitoria, Egypt had won their last seven competitive matches in all competitions before Sunday's match, as well as their pre-tournament friendly against Tanzania.
The Pharaohs are the competitions most successful team of all time, having been crowned champions of Africa on seven occasions, at least two more times than any other nation, and remain favourites to top Group B despite their opening day disappointment.
Egypt's disappointment doesn't compare to that which faced Ghana after the Black Stars fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to Cape Verde, the least populated country competing at this month's championships.
Chris Hughton's side sit rock bottom of Group B ahead of Thursday's match and defeat again against Egypt would love them with an incredibly tough task just to make it out of the group.
The four-time African champions have now won only one of their last six matches in all competitions, losing four, including a defeat against Comoros in World Cup qualification and being held to a goalless draw against Namibia in a pre-tournament friendly earlier this month.
Egypt haven't tasted defeat against Ghana in 11 years, winning three of their four matches they've played each other since, and lead the all-time head-to-head 10-5 in wins from 20 matches.
