EXCLUSIVE: Eighteen-year-old Seattle-based actor and filmmaker Samuel L. Pierce and his newly formed production company Electric Shock Productions have entered into a first-look distribution deal with Random Media, led by Eric Doctorow, the former Paramount, Fox, MGM and Miramax exec.

The deal comes following the companies’ past collaboration on Pierce’s comedy feature The Get Rich Quick Scheme, which premiered at The Grand Cinema in Tacoma and received a theatrical run. The film is about three students (led by Pierce in an acting role) who make a bet with their evil principal to succeed in business.

The deal will cover upcoming sports drama Off The Line, a movie about a determined young inline professional speedskater (played by Pierce), who is eager to establish himself in the sport at the prestigious European Grand Prix 24-hour race. The film is set for release through Random Media first quarter next year.

Pierce, who began making movies at age 13, released his debut feature film, The Future of Us, in 2022. The sci-fi action drama is available on Amazon Prime. He is currently filming in Seattle with his fourth film Incident 290, a sci-fi action movie in which he also stars.

Doctorow held senior management positions at Paramount Pictures for 20 years where he was President of Paramount Pictures’ Worldwide Home Entertainment division for ten years.

This is the first deal of its kind for Random Media, whose principal Doctorow said: “We are thrilled to be in business with Samuel and his production company Electric Shock Productions. He is an impressive young filmmaker who has already completed three feature films by the age of 18. He is definitely one to watch in the film industry and Random Media is delighted to part of his journey.”
