Super Eagles winger Chidera Ejuke has emerged as the most successful dribbler in LaLiga this season, boasting an impressive 61% success rate in his attempts, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 26-year-old Sevilla star, who joined the Spanish club as a free agent from CSKA Moscow in the summer, has completed 28 successful dribbles out of 46 attempts in the 2024/25 LaLiga campaign.

This places him ahead of some of the league’s most renowned dribblers, including Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal and Real Madrid’s Vinícius Júnior and Kylian Mbappé.

According to the latest statistical report, Yamal leads the chart with the most dribbles attempted (63), but his success rate stands at 43%. Vinícius Jr. follows with 56 attempts and a 36% success rate, while Mbappé has attempted 51 dribbles with a 45% success rate.

Takefusa Kubo rounds out the top five with 43 attempts and a 40% success rate.

Ejuke’s exceptional dribbling skills have been a hallmark of his play since his breakout at CSKA Moscow. In November 2021, he was ranked the third-best dribbler in the world by the CIES Football Observatory publication. His ability to take on opponents also earned him recognition as one of the most exciting talents in the Dutch Eredivisie in 2019.

The Nigeria international’s impact at Sevilla has been immediate and significant. In September, he was crowned the club’s Player of the Month, having made five league appearances and scoring a crucial goal.

His 85th-minute match-winner against Real Valladolid on September 24 not only secured a 2-1 victory for Sevilla but also played a part in earning under-fire club coach Francisco Pimienta a new contract.

Ejuke’s dribbling prowess has not only been limited to LaLiga. Earlier in October, he was ranked as the player with the most successful dribbles across Europe’s top five leagues, completing 23 dribbles, one more than Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.

His outstanding performances have caught the attention of the national team selectors, earning him a recall to the Super Eagles squad after a two-year absence. Ejuke was named in the 23-man squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying doubleheader against Libya by Nigeria’s interim coach, Austin Eguavoen.

However, he didn’t make an appearance in the only game played in Uyo as the return leg in Libya was cancelled due to team disputes.
