Elton John is very happy staying off the road. Last year, the 77-year-old “Your Song” entertainer wrapped up his epic Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour, which consisted of 330 concerts world wide. When Elton first announced the tour in January 2018, he revealed that it would be retiring from touring once it wrapped. Now in a new interview, Elton was asked if he’s changed his mind on possibly touring again in the future. Keep reading to find out more…“No,” Elton firmly told Entertainment Tonight. “We’ve got our sons, you know, they’re getting into their teenage years now,” Elton‘s husband David Furnish then added of their sons Zachary, 13, and Elijah, 11. “We don’t want to miss anything. We want to be present for that,” David, 61, continued. It’s sort of a key decade, I think, in a child’s life.” “He’s been doing it for 60 years,” David said. “So it’s nice to have that time to spend at home with family.” Elton then recalled, “The last show in Stockholm on the farewell tour after Glastonbury, I got in the car and went: ‘Yes! yes!’ We went out on the biggest high, just the way I wanted to, and there’s no going back [after] that.” Earlier this year, Elton reached a major milestone in his career!
