Elton John Reveals He's Lost His Ability To See

Elton John shared some sad news over the weekend.

While giving a speech at the premiere of the new musical The Devil Wears Prada in London, the music icon revealed he’s lost his ability to see. He previously stated he’s gone blind in one eye due to a battle with an infection, but now he seems to be saying he can’t see AT ALL.

While thanking all of the cast and crew, Elton thanked his husband David Furnish for “being my rock” before he revealed:

“I haven’t been able to come to many of the previews because, as you know, I’ve lost my eyesight. So, uh, it’s hard for me to see it.”

The Rocketman singer seemed to have an optimistic attitude, though, as he added:

“But I love to hear it. And boy it sounded good tonight! Okay?”
