EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of record-setting box office success with Deadpool & Wolverine and Longlegs, respectively, Emma Corrin and Maika Monroe have been tapped for the lead roles in 100 Nights of Hero, director Julia Jackman’s period fantasy based on the graphic novel from Isabel Greenberg.
Also now on board is Charli XCX, the Grammy-nominated and Billboard Music Award-winning pop superstar coming off the release of her sixth studio album, Brat. As we were first to tell you, Nicholas Galitzine also stars in the feminist fairy tale, inspired by One Thousand and One Nights.
100 Nights of Hero watches as a charming houseguest (Galitzine) arrives at a remote castle and the delicate dynamic between a neglectful husband, his innocent bride Cherry (Monroe), and their devoted maid Hero (Corrin) is thrown into chaos. The graphic novel was published by Little, Brown and Company in 2016.

Monroe stars opposite Nicolas Cage in Osgood Perkins’ breakout horror thriller Longlegs, which is Neon’s highest grossing film ever and the highest grossing indie horror film of the last 10 years at over $103M worldwide. Otherwise perhaps best known for starring in David Robert Mitchell’s acclaimed horror pic It Follows, which has sequel They Follow coming up, her other film credits include under-the-radar horror gem Watcher, Honey Boy and Greta, to name just a few.
Just a couple of weeks ago, Charli XCX signed on to star opposite Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman in I Want Your Sex, Black Bear’s thriller from director Gregg Araki. She’ll make her live-action feature debut with Faces of Death, Daniel Goldhaber’s remake of the cult classic for Legendary Entertainment, and is currently co-executive producing the score for David Lowery’s A24 film Mother Mary alongside Jack Antonoff. Additionally, she’s exec producing and producing original music for Benito Skinner’s Prime Video series Overcompensating.
