Endrick first victim of Mbappé at Real Madrid?

Kylian Mbappé’s impending arrival at Real Madrid has the potential to derail Endrick’s hopes of making an impression at the Bernabeu, with Fabrizio Romano lifting the lid on what the future holds for the young Brazilian.

Fabrizio Romano has lifted the veil on the future of the young Brazilian. Mbappé is expected to join Los Blancos on a free transfer from PSG this summer, but this deal calls into question the role Endrick could have at the club. The 2018 World Cup winner, like Cristiano Ronaldo before him, expects to play every minute of every match.

This is bad news for Endrick, who is expected to arrive at Real in the summer, after a deal was reached with Palmeiras in December 2022 for a €60 million transfer. A minor at the time, the twice-capped Brazil international was forced to wait until his 18th birthday to finalize a transfer, but Mbappé was already an obstacle to his playing time.

Real Madrid’s ‘clear plan’ for Endrick

Romano explained the impact of the Frenchman’s arrival on the teenager. “There have been reports that Endrick will stay in Brazil with Palmeiras until the end of the current Brazilian season, that is until the end of December. This would therefore mean that Endrick would not join Real Madrid this summer, but next January,” explains Romano to the Daily Briefing.

“Yet the response I get from my sources on this Endrick thing is that it’s impossible, that there’s no chance. Endrick’s agents guarantee the striker will join Real Madrid this summer, and there hasn’t even been a request from Palmeiras to sign him on loan because they know it’s impossible. »

“So, despite these stories, and despite the very advanced negotiations between Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappé, this does not change anything for Endrick. The plan remains very clear, and that is for Endrick to join Real Madrid this summer and play for his new club from the start of the 2024/25 season. »

The arrival of Endrick in the club will not, however, solve the problem facing Los Blancos: how to satisfy both players. Initially, the Brazilian should be content with a supporting role, but how much longer can this prodigious young talent be content with this role?

Solutions exist. A change of formation could suit both players, but with two centre-forwards, how will Vini Junior and Rodrygo fit in? It’s a problem that Real Madrid will welcome.
